Camera Phone and Citizen Journalism

UPDATE: The Standard (Feb 15) said Leung Siu-kin used his mobile phone to take the train fire pictures; but Apple Daily (Feb 16) said Canon 350D, digital SLR, was used.

Today, Hong Kong's Chinese newspapers are united - they all use the photos taken by ONE MAN on their front pages!  I venture to say that it is unprecedented!  Leung Siu-kin, a journalism student, happened to witness a train fire.  This is Leung's recollection:-

(In translation) Other passengers were evacuated.  Subliminally I followed the crowd to leave.  But when I was leaving, I thought "I am reporter.  Why should I leave?  Shouldn't I stay at the scene?"  Then I stopped.  I hesitated for a moment.  I decided to return to the scene [to take photos with my camera phone / digital camera].
