Virgin Atlantic has re-entered talks with AirAsia about taking a stake in the Malaysia-based budget airline, The Times reported.

The Star of Malaysia, citing "a source familiar with the discussions", said that the new team will aim for Hangzhou, near Shanghai, and Tianjin, near Beijing. The fare is "as low as RM100 [or US$28] for destinations in China,” according to the source.

Virgin flies to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney and Tokyo.
