A new air link from Beijing to Lagos (Nigeria's largest city) marks the first one between mainland China and Africa, China Daily said. The China Southern Airlines' flight includes a stopover in Dubai.
A one-way ticket for economy class is priced at 6,400 to 9,600 Chinese yuan (US$821 to 1,231).
The China Daily report emphasised that the route was the first between the mainland and Africa - South Africa has long been a destination for Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific.
