Air China has launched direct flights from Beijing to Liuzhou, the rail hub of Guangxi.

Fiji to Hong Kong Flights

Fuji's Air Pacific will launch direct flights to Hong Kong in 2009, The Fuji Times reported.

China-Pakistan Railway

Top railway official of Xinjiang, China's westernmost provice, said a railway connecting China and Pakistan would be built "in the next few years".  The Xinhua (China's state agency) report does not have any further particulars on the China-Pakistan rail link.  It is not clear whether the railway would be built along the China-Pakistan Highway, better known as the Karakoram Highway.  Don't hold your breath anyway.

Mumbai to Shanghai Direct Flights

Shanghai Airlines will launch direct flights between Mumbai and Shanghai.

Jet Airways however said it would discontinue flights on its Mumbai-Shanghai route next year.

Manila to Kaohsiung Flights

Taiwan-based China Airlines launches daily direct flights between Manila and Kaohsiung.  Earlier this year, Manila's budget airline Cebu Pacific has kicked off cheap flights to Kaohsiung.

Hong Kong to Bali Flights

Hong Kong Express Airways will offer two flights a week from Hong Kong to Denpasar, the capital of Bali.

Cathay Pacific currently has daily flights between Hong Kong and Bali.
